ENTERING HIS PRESENCE WITH WORSHIP

ENTERING HIS PRESENCE WITH WORSHIP PSALM 100:1-5

But one thing is needful and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Luke 10:42

INTRODUCTION: In the last study, we looked at the connection with answers to prayer with worship. Today, we want to dig deeper into understanding what true worship is. There are three things associated with worship; Thanksgiving, Praises and Worship. We have to understand the three, to understand worship.

THE TABERNACLE

Looking at the tabernacle, made of the; Gate, Outer Court and the Inner Court, we understand what makes up the process of worship. Through the gate, you enter into alter of sacrifice, then to the lava. You precede to the Holy place, which houses the Lamp Stand at the left corner, the Table of His Presence (Show bread) at the right and the Alter of incense, which leads to the Holy of Holies (inner court).

From our text, we enter his gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praises. Worship cannot be possible unless we go through the process of entering the gate with thanksgiving and His court with praise.

THE GATE (THANKSGIVING)

The gate is Christ Jesus. When we meet Jesus, we enter through the gate. We come into the experience of salvation with thanksgiving.

THE GATE (PRAISES)

  • THE ALTER OF SACRIFICE: Represents the work of Christ on Calvary.

  • THE BRONZE BASIN: typifies daily cleansing (Exo. 30:18-21; 1Jn.1: 9).

  • THE SHOW BREAD: typifies Christ as the Kernel of wheat (Jn. 12:24), ground in the mill of suffering (Jn. 12:27) and brought into the fire of judgment (Jn. 12:31-33). As we feed by faith upon Him who suffered judgment for oursakes.

  • THE LAMP STAND: A type of Christ our light, shinning in the fullness of the power of the seven fold spirit. Jn. 1:4; 8:12; Isa. 11:2

  • THE ALTAR OF INCENSE: A type of Christ our intercessor (Jn. 17:1-26; Heb. 7:25), through whom our prayers and praises ascend to God and the Believer-Priest’s sacrifice of praise and worship. Heb. 13:15; Rev. 8:3-4

  • THE HOLY OF HOLIES: this where the ark of covenant, a type of God’s throne is situate. Eph. 2:19-22.

ISAIAH’S VISION (Isa. 6:1-9)

From the passage of scripture above, we see the Seraphs with six wings, with two they covered their feet (work of atonement) and another two their face (worship) and they flew with the last two (service). Worship is intimacy with God. It is worship that leads us to service. You cannot serve until you learn the art of worship.

You cannot worship until you experience Jesus and His finished work of Calvary, the power of his word as it transforms you in the light of the scriptures. Nobody can worship with filthy mind, you need Him to cleanse your mind with His blood and fill you with His word. Jesus leads you to the cross, the cross to the word and the word provokes light and you begin to feast on the bread of life and then worship flows out.

CONCLUSION: Very few people worship, because they don’t really understand worship. Worship is a powerful experience with the Holy Ghost. Anyone can thank the Lord for what He has done for Him. Anyone can praise God for His acts, but there is a deeper experience called worship. Get ready for it, because God is about to show it to you. https://testimonytime.net/2018/12/17/entering-his-presence-with-worship/
